After what felt like ages of speculation, Gears of War is finally on PlayStation consoles via Gears of War: Reloaded for PlayStation 5, a remaster of the original 2006 title that kickstarted it all. While the title has been the subject of the worst Steam launch of any past Gears title, it looks like Sony fans are jumping in left and right, so much so that the game's Platinum trophy has already been earned.
Except, there's just one problem — Gears of War: Reloaded was released roughly two days ago on August 26. More so, one of its Trophies requires 10,000 kills in online multiplayer, something that would be pretty hard… or so you thought.
There's Enough Boosting In Gears of War: Reloaded To Put Mario Kart To Shame
Over on PSNProfiles, a dedicated PlayStation Trophy tracking website, complete with leaderboards and guides, five registered players already have the Gears of War Platinum "Nothin' Left."
Just one look at Reloaded's dedicated forums, and you'll see that there's a proven boosting method to get all 10,000 kills for the "Seriously" trophy. Using two consoles, four controllers and four accounts, one can rack up 14 kills every four minutes. Rinse and repeat, and you'll end up totaling the necessary amount needed to get the Trophy, plus several others that come along the way.
Obviously, you'll still need to beat the game's campaign on Insane difficulty for another Trophy, though there are several guides on how to do that.
Of course, Gears isn't the first, and it won't be the last game to be exploited to smithereens for a Platinum trophy. It's just a little wild how quickly an exploit was found for a game that literally just came out.
